Stop being an Emotional FOOL! What did I do?

Being emotional is not bad! However, if you are being controlled by your emotions, it’s dangerous for you and the people around you. Yes, like anyone else, I have been an emotional fool too. I have been controlled by my emotions until I started to overcome this.

Can you imagine the life of a person controlled by his/her emotions? At one point, he/she is very excited & the very next moment depressed! There is so much fluctuation that a person starts to confuse if everything is alright or just worse. There is no clarity!

Remember, being emotional is not only mean sadness. It also means happiness and excitement. Emotions are the inclusion of all the feelings we pursue.

And here, we are talking about unstable emotions that are controlling us.

When we are pleased & excited, we start to commit the unnecessary things that can turn into the reason for an argument later. And when we are sad, we overthink. We feel that we are the loneliest person in the world with nothing but a broken heart. At this moment of sadness, we tend to commit something terrible. It’s nothing but being an emotional fool that we do not know how to manage it. Most of us don’t even know,

  • What is happening?
  • What is wrong or right?
  • And the big question, what should we do???

You will get all your answers once you understand the below concept!

How many times have you regretted the decision you have taken during the emotional rage? Did you think, if this is the trigger from the outer world, or is it coming from within? Think about it carefully… It is really within.

Example 1: Imagine a car you have always desired, and it suddenly shows up. You will be extremely excited! Emotionally happy! Because for you, the desire for that car is strong. You may have seen many other cars too, but you really don’t care about them.

Example 2: Let say you like someone. So you generate another desire of being together. You feel butterflies in your stomach if at any point of time that person talks to you or smile at you. What if you realize that the person is actually not looking at you but your friend, you feel jealous. Here, emotions start to rise and become uncontrollable.

So, do you understand the problem with the desires we have? However, this is not our fault because we don’t choose it. Instead, it just comes and goes. We all are surrounded by such movies, dramas, & marketing media that we have a massive influence on us. However, it depends on what we choose to be surrounded by. Like the environment, the TV shows, the people we talk to, the books or articles we read & what we learn from all this.

The desires we welcome with such influence is maybe suitable & pleasing for a short period, but it is destroying us in the long term.

What if we start to choose our desires?

Make your own interest and build it strong. Let’s think of it. You love and follow a few celebrities as an idol like Will Smith, Kylie, Kim, Beyonce, etc. And they do an advertisement for a product which in real life they never thought of using it. Still, we believe that my idol is doing an ad, let’s use it. We keep the fact aside that the product is really worth buying or just a waste of money. Even here, our desire, which is eventually bringing our emotion, is overtaking the sense.

My short story: I remember when I started watching Korean and Chinese drama. I literally started dreaming of my prince charming to be like that & started making the desire that my boyfriend should ONLY focus on me. He is mine. He should only do the things to make me happy and stand by my side at any point I want. Remember, ‘WANT’ not ‘NEED.’ If that doesn’t happen, I felt heartbreaking.

Maybe now you know what I am trying to tell you. I hope you do …:) I tried to explain through different scenarios.

The funda is if you know the real cause behind your imbalanced emotion, then it is easy to overcome.

Hence let’s move on to plant your desire by yourself. Actually, stop being influenced by the other desire planters. The best desire, in my opinion, is self-improvement. Have a desire to make yourself capable.

As a life hack, the simple thing I can suggest to you is the Meditation. Meditation helps you to give the vision. It clears our thoughts and balances our emotions. Once our emotions are balanced, we find a wave of peace within!
